2012 Jamis Commuter 4 N360 CVP Not only is this the shop’s top of the line commuter model - but it comes stock from Jamis with the most advanced speed hub technology on the market! The Nuvici N360 Continuously Variable Planetary (CVP) gear hub. The CVP works like this: inside the hub there are 8 internal spheres, each sphere has a ‘north-south’ pivot axial, as the rider shifts the sphere’s axial angle, torque and thus speed is shifted to different contact points along the sphere’s drive line See the Video. The N360 Gear Hub is designed for the commuter enthusiast; it’s relatively lightweight, has an outstanding gear range, super low maintenance! The 36 spokes means you have a set of wheels that will last a long time; super strong, tight. Features a Flip-flop hub out back. The Flip-flop hub means you can ride either fixed-gear or freewheel. 16,000 Miles and Counting Billiam, one of the shop locals dropped by the shop to pick up some tires for his upcoming tour across Iceland. He also said he’s thinking about touring Greenland after that - Wow! He was telling us than just this year he’s put on over 16,000 miles on his bike! Billiam’s bike is a super-stout, touring specific Marin Point Reyes. Just last year he toured Alaska on it! Billiam told us he’s looking for a lady to ride with.Any lady’s out there, here’s your chance.
